Amodo Design are an ARIA Activation Partner. We are one of nine teams working with the Advanced Research + Innovation Agency (ARIA) to create a thriving UK science and technology ecosystem. We are focused on delivering engineering projects for ARIA's R&D Creators: the individuals and teams carrying out ARIA-funded research.

At Amodo we believe that new science requires new tools. In the 20th century, scientists and engineers worked alongside one another and new scientific discoveries often followed new engineering developments. We have found that this is no longer the case and that scientists are left with the choice between shoehorning their research into off-the-shelf equipment or abandoning promising research tracks for lack of appropriate equipment.
ARIA’s R&D Creators are reaching for the edge of the possible, and we’re here to support that. Our goal is that no R&D Creator is ever bottlenecked by a lack of access to bespoke scientific equipment. Our mechanical, electronic, firmware and software engineering teams will partner with R&D Creators as an engineering SWAT team to quickly develop new hardware for them. We will work on hardware from the very earliest stages of research through to the commercialisation of inventions.
Our goals is that no R&D Creator is ever blocked by a lack of access to custom hardware. We can work collaboratively with you to design and manufacture custom components that enable you to run your research. We already work with a host of academic groups and startups filling in the gaps in their teams, delivering mechanical, electronic, and software sub-systems where they are needed.
